The Greater Hartford Model Yacht Club’s (GHMYC) home is the 440 acre Nebesatuck Lake, in  Mansfield Hollow State Park, Mansfield, CT.

You can find us sailing here just about every Saturday, Spring through Fall.  Event Schedule Though we concentrate mostly on the International 1M (IOM) , we do sail several other boats, such as USOM, Soling 1 Meters, Star 45's and others. We encourage all skippers to come join us and welcome you to join in any of our ’series points’ regattas, though unless you are a member, your points will not count. Membership is a nominal $5.00 per year. 

If you have never sailed, or just own a simple inexpensive RC sailboat, you are more then welcome to come a visit us. You will find that our members can be very helpful in getting you involved with this great hobby.

Naubesatuck Lake is one of the most beautiful RC sailing venues in New England. Our staging site is an open grassy area that gently slopes down to the sandy shore at the lakes edge. 

Sailing is not the only thing you can do at Mansfield.
While you are sailing, your family and freinds can either hike the miles of trails, or paddle around the 440 acre lake. This is also a great place to mountain bike. The bike trails are not too hard, but well worth riding.

If you think that you might like to come sail with us, or to just come and visit, then just drop us a NOTE, so we can make sure that you get in. Park regulations require that the access road gate be kept locked. Members or guests are provided with the combination.
